**:9/16/10 update- I finally was able to get an accurate photo of the painting & have swapped out the old file w/ the new.

So many things have been coming clear to me about my approach to and direction with painting lately. This piece speaks to that much more clearly than my words do.
I plan to take a better photo once the show it's participating in is over. Amazingly enough, it won 1st place. Hard work really does pay off....go figure
The title means: the act of bringing upon oneself.
I love that despite the crazy swirl of waves, there is still a vantage point, something to keep us grounded in the distance. Like the wave swelling out before it surges in again.
